- Nicholas de Verdon states that the King had granted him £100 from the issues of Ireland, in compensation for his losses in his service, but that he understands that the issues of Ireland are insufficient to maintain and defend that land. He asks instead for the town of Mansfieldstown, which is worth £30 a year.

- The King wishes him to have it for a reasonable valuation, until he has levied from it the 200 marks which the King gave him.
