Name(s)
de Uphatherle (Up Hatherley), Henry

King.
Nature of request
Henry de Uphatherle states that after he was captured by the Scots at Stirling, Thomas de Uphatherle and Robert de Presteburi disseised him of his lands and tenements in Up Hatherley, and stole his goods there, and that when he returned they had him falsely accused of robbery and imprisoned in Gloucester castle. He sued a writ of false imprisonment, but they attacked him and wounded him severely, and then forced him to make a release of all the tenements to them, by threats. Afterwards when Robert came out of France with the Queen, they had him imprisoned in Gloucester castle again. He requests a remedy.
Nature of endorsement
He is to sue at common law.
