William de Upton states that he has long served the King in war and peace, and that, at his last coming out of Scotland he was captured by the enemy at Byland and lost all he had. He asks for the estate in the Abbey of Cirencester that the late Henry Sojournaunt had.

Coram rege.This petition is to be sent before the Steward of the King's household and the Keeper of the Wardrobe, and the King's confessor, who are appointed to do such things.
