Nature of request
Richard de Tilloy states that he has tronage and pesage at Bristol by hereditary right, of the grant of the King's ancestors, paying 10 shillings a year for this at the Exchequer, but that the Mayor and people of Bristol will not let him perform his office, or appoint another in his place, but insist on making their own appointment - although Richard is still paying the 10 shillings. He requests a remedy.
Nature of endorsement
[Incomplete, due to damage to ms.] It is to be ordered by writ . . . both the place . . Exchequer, that . . . is to be examined . . . [parties] and they are to hear . . . and they are to do justice.
