Nature of request
John de Thedmers makes two requests:1) He requests a writ to distrain the Abbot of Osney for repairs to a tower of Oxford castle called the tower of the chapel of St George, belonging to that chapel.2) He requests a writ to distrain the Abbot to provide the chapel with chaplains and clerks as he used to, and to provide them with food and drink as he used to.
Nature of endorsement
The Sheriff is to inquire if he ought to find the aforesaid things, and if he is bound to the aforesaid things, then he is to be distrained; and moreover orders are to be given to the Abbot.
