Nature of request
William de Thorpe states that he was imprisoned because of false accusations of having made sale and destruction in the park of Miserden when he was parker there, and requests a writ to Simon de Dryby, constable of Gloucester castle, or to the Sheriff there, to inquire into the truth of the accusations, and to release him if they are found to be false.
Nature of endorsement
Because the King, at the complaint of several people, issued orders to establish the truth of the trespass, and it was found that he had committed the said trespass, and was taken in the act, and imprisoned on that account, he will therefore be advised.
