Nature of request
John, lord of Tiptoft and Powys, states that the late King negotiated with him to have after his death certain lordships, manors, lands, tenements, rents and services formerly belonging to May Gourney, in exchange for a sum of money, and for discharging his manors of Over Wallop and Orton Waterville of certain annual sums. However the manor of Orton Waterville has not been discharged, nor has John been compensated for this. He therefore asks that he might receive 10 marks annually from the Prior and convent of Huntingdon in compensation, from the time when the manor should have been discharged.
