Nature of request
Richard de Tysho states that in a dispute between him and the Prior of Coventry concerning his church, the Prior, to deprive him of his benefices, is suing in the court of Rome, although the matter touches the King's regality and his crown. He asks that the Chancellor might be ordered to give him the letters patent previously made to him in this case, so that he might have permission to pursue his right of Holy Church, or that the Prior might be ordered to keep to the agreements previously made on this matter.
