Nature of request
The people of Scotland request a general writ to the Chamberlain of Berwick upon Tweed to maintain and govern them in the laws which were in use in the time of King Alexander, as the conditions made at Roxburgh by the Earl of Angus and the lords Percy and Neville demand.
Nature of endorsement
Their conditions and agreements are to be upheld in all points; and thereupon they are to have as many and such writs granted to them as they need.
