The tenants of the King's ancient demesne of South Tawton make two requests:1) They ask for confirmation of their customs and usages, as enrolled in a roll of the time of the late King, in a plea before Ralph de Hengham and his companions between the petitioners and Richard de Pultemor, then lord of the manor.2) They complain of harrassment and oppression by the King's bailiffs, and of wrongful distraints by various lords, and request the King's grace.
