Nature of request
The petitioners state that at the last parliament held at York, they presented bills against the tin-miners of Devon for various trespasses and crimes committed against them, and Hugh de Curtenay, William Martin, John de Stonore and William de Bourne were appointed to hear and determine these trespasses. They have done nothing, and the petitioners ask for a writ to them to proceed to hear and determine them, and to do justice.
Nature of endorsement
They are to have a writ to Hugh and his companions to hear and determine the aforesaid trespasses according to the tenor of the King's commission, so that they do justice to the parties.

SC 8/108/5364 is datable to 1318, and would appear to be the petition to the York parliament mentioned here. This petition must have been presented shortly afterwards, probably to the next parliament, that of May 1319.
