Note
CFR 1307-19 p.143 is dated 8 August 1312, and p.389 is dated 15 January 1319. The petition must date from between these two dates, and indeed probably from the earlier part of this period, as CFR 1307-19 p.389 states that Scarborough was previously in the keeping of John de Moubray. The petitioner receives a pardon, as an adherent of Thomas Earl of Lancaster, for the death of Piers Gaveston, on 16 October 1313 (CPR 1313-17 p.25).
