Nature of request
The petitioner makes two requests:1) He states that for the years 1375 and 1376 he arrented the bailiwick of Labourd from Richard Routier, Constable of Bordeaux, who has acquitted him of this; he asks that he might have the King's letters of acquittance for this to his officers and ministers, and especially to John Moton.2) He asks the King to order his officers and the people of the country to allow him to have and enjoy this bailiwick, which he holds of the gift of Edward III and of the confirmation of the present King.
