Nature of request
The burgesses of Caernarfon state that at the King's father's last parliament, at London, they were granted a writ to William de Suttone, Justice of North Wales, to survey the tenancy of the lands held by the burgesses in Caernarfon, and to deliver to them those lands suitable for pasture which had not yet been delivered, according to the tenancy of each burgess. This was never done, because William de Suttone died shortly afterwards. The burgesses request a similar writ to the present Justice.

Dated to 1307 by Petitions Relating to Wales p.237, with reference to the death of William de Suttone in April 1306, and to the late King.In Petitions Relating to Wales p.237 this petition has been mis-numbered as SC 8/141/7040, and the endorsement seems to be quite different there.
