- John Skelton, esquire, states that the King made him a grant of 40 marks annually for term of life, in compensation for an earlier grant made to him by Henry V and later resumed, and in consideration of the ransom he paid when captured by the French on the King's business, which will be resumed by the act of resumption in the present parliament. He asks that he might be provided for in the terms of a schedule attached to this petition.
