Richard de Schupene requests payment for a loan he made to the King by the hands of William de Hederesete and William de Rude, collectors of customs in London, which loan was to be paid in the King's thirteenth year.
Nature of endorsement
Coram domino rege.The accounts are to be examined, and if it is found that the King was served with this, the King is to be informed, and if the King was not served with it, the Treasurer and Barons are to have the parties called and do what is reasonable.

Note
William de Hederesete and William de Rude were appointed as collectors of customs in London during pleasure on 18 April 1316 (CFR 1307-19 p.275), and there are references to them in 1320 in CCR 1318-23 pp.280 and 281. The loan seems to have been due for repayment in 13 Edward II [8 July 1319-7 July 1320], so this petition is dated 1320-1327.
