- Damaged petition, firstly regarding a grievance against the mayor and burgesses of Oxford (the details of which are lost), and secondly concerning the university's jurisdiction over excommunicated persons.
- Nature of endorsement
- As to the first point, it seems to the council that it is already in operation; as to the second, the king should grant it. The petition was taken to the king by the chancellor, and the king granted the matter for six years.
