Note (Additional information about the record)
- Letters appointing clerks to solicit contributions to this aid were issued on 26 June 1332 (CCR 1330-3, p.587). Evidently this is not a petition but a letter sent in response to the king's request, and appears to be a stray from C 270/10, one of the files of such letters relating to this tax (C 270/7-12). The dated documents in those files were produced during 1332 and 1333, and given that this letter is dated 20 March, presumably this is 1333.
