Nanscuel, Trevelwyth and others request that the king examine the contents of two commissions of the peace issued in the first year of his reign. They state that they were tried for felony before Pomeray and his fellows, justices of the peace under a commission of 4 March 1 [Richard II], but that another commission was issued to Tresilian and others on 16 March, which they claim automatically cancelled the first commission.
