Note (Additional information about the record)
- A Ralph de Lincoln of Grimsby was pardoned on 18 October 1347 for non-appearance in a case relating to his time as bailiff of York (CPR 1345-8, p.416), and this is probably the same man. The handwriting would seem to date to the mid-fourteenth century, although the reference to 'the war' would suggest a date after the outbreak of the Hundred Years War in 1337.
