Note (Additional information about the record)
- Dated on the guard to? c. 1437, probably due to similarities to other petitions from that parliament. However, this would seem to coincide with the siege of Roxburgh by James I of Scotland in 1436-7, at the time of that parliament. The next siege was not until 1460, when the castle was captured and destroyed, but this had occurred in the summer, well before Parliament met in October.
