Memorandum recording sums granted to Robert Manfeld by the King, listing the amount due in each case, and the assignment responsible for payment. The reasons for the grants included duties as steward of Tendring hundred, receiver of Chirk, and keeper of the King's lions.

Note
Manfeld was appointed as keeper of the King's lions on 4 May 1438, and he is mentioned as keeper of Chirk in 1437-8 (E 210/5576) and on 3 March 1439 (CPR 1436-41, p.247). Manfeld was Master of the Mint by 1445, and as this is not mentioned here, this might suggest that this document pre-dates that appointment.
