Note (Additional information about the record)
- Manfeld was appointed as keeper of the King's lions on 4 May 1438, and he is mentioned as keeper of Chirk in 1437-8 (E 210/5576) and on 3 March 1439 (CPR 1436-41, p.247). Manfeld was Master of the Mint by 1445, and as this is not mentioned here, this might suggest that this document pre-dates that appointment.
