Note (Additional information about the record)
- Given the references to the souls of the king's father and mother, the petition evidently dates to the reign of Edward II, while the handwriting and the references to the king's coronation (February 1308) might suggest the earlier part of the reign. However, other petitions on the same matter date from as late as Edward III's reign (SC 8/66/3300).
