Commissions of oyer et terminer into complaints from Meret (Mereu) were issued in 1322 and 1324, and presumably this petiton dates from one of these periods. Given that the petition refers to events occurring in the king's fifteenth year, and the endorsement refers to an earlier judgment before Randolf, the latter date appears most likely.
