The petitioners seek remedy against Benehale and his followers, claiming that they stole goods and chattels from them worth £200. They sued a writ of novel disseisin at Bury St Edmunds, but Benehale and his fellows came to the assize with a great force, attacked, robbed and imprisoned John, beat and wounded Edmund and drove people from the assizes.
