Description
Petitioners

Nature of request
The Officers of the Mint complain of the lack of money being coined. They state that, because English money is stronger than foreign money, a great deal of English money is being taken abroad, and very little foreign bullion is coming into the realm. They ask that parliament consider a remedy, claiming that, if the situation is not addressed soon, most of the gold and silver coin of England will be lost from the realm.
Nature of endorsement
Let the Warden, Master and other officers of the Mint be brought before the Lords of Parliament on the Saturday or Monday next, to give their advice and to name other people knowledgeable on this matter.
