Note (Additional information about the record)
- Much of the dating clause is illegible, with only the fact that it was dated at the Tower of London in Edward's third regnal year of France surviving. However, the month may be February (what may be the letters 'FF' is just visible in the area where the month would be expected to appear), and other letters patent were issued from the Tower in February 1342.
