Description
Petitioners

Nature of request
The Prior and Convent of St Katherine ask that sums owed to them by the King, for various items taken from them during his fourth year for the war in Scotland, be allowed against debts owed by them to the king at the Exchequer. They have sought payment of these debts in the past, but they have not been paid.
Nature of endorsement
Let them have a writ of Chancery to the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer that they should view the letters of privy seal and the indentures mentioned in the petition and even the account of Henry de Shirokes, and if it is found that the said loan was made to the use of the king then allocation should be made to them of this debt. And if not then let them be called before us and let justice be done.
