Nature of request
John de Lovetot states that he holds five knights fees of the honour of Tickhill, but that when he and his ancestors were underage and wards of the king, the stewards of Tickhill had made great distresses of his tenants, and attorned their services to the King. Now that he is of full age, these tenants refuse to return to his service, to his disinheritance. He requests remedy.

Dated on the guard to '? c 1330-1', but no evidence cited.A John de Lovetot proved his age in Huntingdonshire in July 1319 (CIPM, vol.VI, no.196), and this is probably the man who died in November 1349 (CIPM, vol.IX, no.186), but whether this is the same man as the petitioner is unclear.
