Nature of request
The petitioners state that lawbreakers from London are emboldened to commit murder, as they secure bail and then claim that the liberties of the city put them outside the common law, such that nobody dare prosecute suits against them, to the great damage of the crown. They request that the king order that no-one be bailed for murder in the City of London.
