Burgesses of Lostwithiel.

Nature of request
The burgesses of Lostwithiel make two requests.1) They request the confirmation and extension of their charters and privileges.2) They request a grant of pontage on their bridge, to help pay for its upkeep. They state that the bridge was built by Earl Edmund, but had become ruinous, and although the justices in eyre had stated that, since it was a common passage, the people of the two neighbouring hundreds should contribute to its maintenance, nothing has been received.
Nature of endorsement
They should show these petitions to the council of the queen, and the council should be informed and certify to the chancery to do what seems right.Both petitions coram Rege.
