Nature of request
The petitioners, prisoners in York Castle, ask that the king order their deliverance from prison. They state that they were taken from London for John du Chastel, who was found in a tavern of where they were lodging, of whom they have no knowledge.
Nature of endorsement
It pleases the king that they come before him, and the cause of their seizure, and right will be done to them.Coram Rege.
