Nature of request
Laar requests that lands of his pledged to a man who has since joined the French king should be taken into the hands of the lieutenant and kept safe. He states that he had contributed to the levy requested by the Earl of Lincoln of the people of Labatut for the provisioning of the garrison there. He also requests payment of debts owed to him in provisioning this force, and has come overt to England to pursue this.
Nature of endorsement
Regarding the lands pledged to a man of Laurfontan who has left the king's faith, it is to be ordered to the king's lieutenants in Gascony that they are to do him right according to the customs of that land.William Arnaud de la Roche.Regarding the debt, they are to come before those making the payments and be heard.

Note
Dated on the guard to? c. 1305, but no evidence cited. However, an order to make payments to people from Labatut for sums loaned to the Earl of Lincoln was made in 1305, and many of the individuals named in the petition appear in other documents of the time.
