Henry Lakensuyder, merchant of York, states that his goods worth £413 8s 8d were seized by subjects of the duke of Brittany in various Breton ports in time of truce. He has sued for redress to the present king and his father, and also through ambassadors sent by the king to Brittany, but without success. He therefore asks either for letters of marque and reprisal, or for redress to be made to him from the goods of Bretons currently held in England.

[on face] Let it be taken to the King.[on dorse] Let this petition be sent to the king's council, and let the lords of the council ordain, by authority of this parliament, whatever shall seem most reasonable for the plaintiff on the matter contained in this petition.
