- William, Prior of Holy Trinity, requests to be discharged certain sums from his account in relation to the last clerical subsidy. He states that he and the Abbots of Waltham and Colchester were appointed by the Bishop of London to collect the subsidy in the diocese of London, but the Abbot of Colchester then petitioned the council and was exempted. The Bishop then wrote to him, ordering him not to levy and collect the subsidy in the archdeaconry of Essex, and he has therefore not collected those sums.

- From the handwriting, the document appears to date to the period c.1375-c.1440, during which period at least three Williams served as Prior of Holy Trinity. William de Rysyng (1377-91) appears most likely, but the tax cannot be identified, and a later date cannot be discounted.
