de Lancaster, Henry

King.
Nature of request
Henry states that the king's father had granted a writ to the escheator south of the Trent to enquire into his fees in various counties. The inquests were returned to the Chancery and examined by the Council, after which the king ordered Brabazon to take them to the Exchequer so that the Treasurer and Barons could draw up memoranda as to what the value was, and how much was in the king's hands. However, this process was halted by the death of the king. Lancaster therefore requests that this process be completed.

He is to go to the Chancery and have a writ to the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer that he should have justice according to the form of the writ.

Note
Presumably dates to shortly after the death of Edward I in 1307.
