Note (Additional information about the record)
- Dated on the guard to? 1378-80, with reference to SC 8/121/6049, this probably being the petition referred to in that document. This is clearly one of the many petitions relating to the long-running captivity of the son of the Count of Denia, captured at the Battle of Najera on 3 April 1367. The petitioners were presumably either among those captured with Pembroke at La Rochelle in 1372, or later stood as hostages for him.
