- The Prior requests judgment in a case between himself and the King regarding a fishery in the town of Lancaster. He states that a nisi prius on the matter was held at Clitheroe before Ingelby and his colleagues, and the case was sent before the King's Bench, but three years have passed and no judgment has been made.

Note (Additional information about the record)
- The date of? 1390 given on the guard is clearly mistaken. The reference to 'John Cavendish and his companions' would seem to date the petition to Cavendish's period as Chief Justice of King's Bench, and hence to the period 1372-81. Cavendish was captured and beheaded by the revolting peasantry at Lakenheath on 14 June 1381.
