Nature of request
Writ of Richard II to the sheriff of Warwickshire, ordering him to inform the Prior of Newport Pagnell that errors in the record, process and judgment of his case against the Dean and Chapter of Lichfiled will be heard in the parliament to be held at the forthcoming quindene of Hilary.
Nature of endorsement
For the Chancellor.Thomas Oudeby, sheriff.It was made known to the Prior of Newport Pagnell that he should be before the King in his parliament at Westminster at the quindene of Hilary next, to hear the record and process of the things contained in this writ and the errors which the Dean and Chapter of St Chad's, Lichfield allege are contained within them, and to receive the decision of the court, by John Northfolke and Robert Werkenamby, trusted and lawful men of my bailiwick.
