Nature of request
Writ of Richard II to the Bishop of Coventry and Lichfield, granting him power to receive the attorneys of the Dean and Chapter of Lichfield who will be attending the forthcoming Parliament in respect of their case against the Prior of Newport Pagnell. The bishop is ordered to inform the king of the names of those attorneys by return of writ.
Nature of endorsement
For the Chancellor.I, the aforesaid bishop Richard, have received the attorneys of the Dean and Chapter of Lichfield, namely Master John Oudeby, Master John de Sutton, Master Nicholas Bubbewyth, Canon of Lichfield, and Master John Rome, clerk, appointed to swear and assign before the lord king in his Parliament at the forthcoming quindene of Hilary concerning the errors in the record, process and judgment of the said Dean and Chapter mentioned in this writ.
