Note
Dated on the dorse to 1394, with reference to the enrolled copy printed in Rot. Parl. III, p.315. This is clearly a copy of an earlier petition, since the same petition was presented to the parliaments of 1391 and 1393 (Rot. Parl. III, pp.289, 303). All are practically identical, but slight variations in the text would seem to link this particular copy with the 1394 enrolment. Associated writs, clearly issued in connection with this matter, were issued in November and December 1393 (SC 8/121/6029B-C), and presumably were presented with it to the parliament of January 1394.
