Nature of request
Langton requests exemption from the forthcoming Act of Resumption of the 6d per day granted to him in the thirtieth year of the king's reign. A draft text of such an exemption is given.
Nature of endorsement
1 MarchThe Lords agree that the petitioner keep the grant until he receives an office to the same value. If the petitioner already possesses such an office, then the grant should be resumed.
Note
Dated on the guard to 1455, with reference to Rot. Parl. VI, p.317. However, the Act of Resumption was passed at the end of the Parliament, a date confirmed by the date of 1 March given on the dorse. The petition was therefore presumably presented at some point during the course of the parliament.
