[Large parts of the right side of this petition are illegible or missing, and much of the sense is lost]The petitioner requests letters of privy seal summoning individuals before the king to be examined regarding certain lands of his grandfather to which he is claiming right.
Nature of endorsement
[On face] For the Duke of Gloucester 31 October.
Places mentioned
Gwydigada commote, [Carmarthenshire]
People mentioned

Note
Dated by Rees, and on the guard, to 1427. The petition bears similar damage to other petitions from the 1427-8 parliament (for example see SC 8/121/6007, 6011), and the endorsement of 31 October would seem to date it to the first session of that Parliament, and is identical to that given on SC 8/121/6013, which can be dated securely to 1427.
