Copies of two writs of Edward I to the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer, authorising the allowance of uncollected sums against Dyveleston's account as sheriff of Northumberland.
Nature of endorsement
[This appears to be the response to the petition at SC 8/121/6001]Coram Rege.The king wishes that if it is found that the inquisition says as is claimed, then let allowance be made to her in her debts or the debts of others, and on that so let a writ of chancery be sent to the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer that they make enquiry and make allowance in the said form.

Dated on the guard to c. 1290, with reference to SC 8/121/6002. Dyveleston was sheriff of Northumberland from Michaelmas 1281 to Easter 1288 (List of Sheriffs), and the writ ordering his inquisition post mortem was issued on 20 May 1290.
