Application of Dr L R Sharples for a medical appointment: reports that he is unknown to the Surgeon General but that from his qualifications and testimonials appears to be qualified for appointment. He is the brother of Mr O E L Sharples, Stipendiary Magistrate. [See also CO 111/593/40] Walter Egerton, Governor of British Guiana, No. 75, folios 514-515
