Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick to Holdernesse: his pleasure that the army in Germany is to be reinforced with British troops, and that the five new battalions are to be called the British Legion. He wishes the king would appoint somebody to muster them and administer the oath. He has heard from Captain Long in the Ems. He thanks the king for supporting his request to retain the Prussian dragoons. Dated at Lippstadt. ff. 185, 186
