To Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick from Holdernesse: the king is to reinforce the army in Germany by six regiments of English infantry. The carabiniers, Irish cavalry and Waldegrave's dragoons have been embarked but are still in the roads because of the east wind. He believes the first division of Scottish highlanders is under way. The sloops Wolf and Spy are stationed in the Ems to intercept the French horse transports. The king is to make representations regarding the two regiments of Prussian dragoons.
