Description

Black Corps; encloses duplicate letter of 11 December [not in item]; reports he did not mention that if the two men per company be granted to government as a permanent aid, his plan would be to have them taken on the strength of the Regiments, 'and of course paid, victualled and clothed, as soldiers; and transferred, on a Regiment's quitting this Country, to the Battalion by which it is relieved.'
