Description

Draft; acknowledges receipt of letters; reference to 'Negroe labour', materials, and other assistance for the Royal Engineer for Grenada works; refusals from the Assembly of Antigua of the 'assistance required' for completing fortifications; military establishment and security; Board of Ordnance; letter from the Duke of Richmond, Whitehall, dated 22 March 1788, refering to expenses on part of the Ordnance; extracts from the instructions to the respective officers of the Ordnance in the West Indies; regulations for the allowance of a certain number of labourers to attend engineers; extracts from the instructions to the commanding engineer in the West Indies.
