Description

Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick to Holdernesse, partially in cipher: he appreciates the reasons why no reinforcements or remounts can be sent and will do his best with what he has. Lusace is near Göttingen and he thinks de Broglie has abandoned his plan of advancing on Hanover. His repulse of a French foraging party. He encloses an account [SP 87/38/57] by the hereditary prince of a successful action near Zierenberg. Dated at Bühne. PS. that the duke of Württemberg is threatening Brunswick and Wolfenbüttel. ff. 118-120
